About Us

About Us

The UK Liver Pathology Group (UKLPG) was set up in 2016 to promote excellence in liver histopathology services in the UK and Ireland. The role of the Education and Training subcommittee along with our trainee representatives is to provide and create educational content across all levels of training and specialisation. As part of this we welcome you to view our educational resources and cases.

Our trainee representatives have recently been involved in redesigning these webpages and helping to coordinate the expansion of its content with resources which pathology registrars in particular may find helpful. If there is any feedback or anything you would like to see included here please get in touch via the email address below.

Hello! My name is Sarah and I am an ST4 histopathology registrar based in the East of England Deanery, training in Cambridge. As one of the UKLPG trainee representatives, I am passionate about medical education, particularly in liver pathology, and ensuring that all trainees have access to excellent educational resources in this field. I am dedicated to making liver pathology more accessible and engaging for all trainees. In addition to my professional interests, I have a great love for cats, which adds a delightful balance to my life. Please feel free to get in touch with any suggestions or feedback regarding our liver pathology training resources. We hope you find them helpful and engaging.

Rania

Hello, My name is Rania Osman, I am an ST3 in histopathology training in the West Midlands. I am also the current trainee representative of the UKLPG. I worked as a medical registrar for quite a while before I found my passion in histopathology and in particular liver pathology where I can integrate my previous experience with histopathology. I also feel privileged that I have been trained in one of the liver transplant centres in the UK. I hope this website helps to give all trainees more exposure to liver pathology
