Under the microscope breast tissue (comprised of ducts and lobules) and fat can be seen along with varying amounts of connective tissue. The appearance of normal breast tissue under the microscope varies considerably with age.
When breast tissue cells grow out of control and stop listening to signals from the rest of the body, breast cancer can develop.
