  • Female, 6 months old
  • Clinical details:
    6 weeks ago a swelling appeared in the R. cheek which did not respond to antibiotics, xray showed an extensive osteolytic lesion of the mandible. Biopsy was done followed by complete removal of a black tumour under the gum margin. Two dark reddish black fragments of tissue weighing 24 G. The tumour was smooth, lobulated and firm, cut surface was black.

    Typical benign melanotic epulis of infancy.
