Large necrotic tumour left bladder wall. Incomplete resection.



Specimen: TURBT, 18g.

Macro: 18g of tissue cuttings.

Immunohistochemistry:
MNF116 - sparse paranuclear dot-like immunopositivity, diffuse immunoposivitiy for CD56 with focal immunopositivity for synaptophysin. There is immunonegativity for chromogranin, TTF1, Fli1, PSA.

Female 50 years

Specimen: Right kidney.

Macro: A nephrectomy specimen 160 x 100 x 68mm with attached ureter 55mm in length. The kidney contains a 95mm diameter lobulated lesion with a yellow and white solid cut surface.

Immunohistochemistry:
None performed.

Male 71 years

Hard, irregular left testis. Looks like tumour on ultrasound.



Specimen: Left testis and cord.

Macro: Intact testis with overlying freely mobile tunica vaginalis. On bisecting, entire testis rather firm and pale in appearance with no discrete tumour obvious macroscopically.

Immunohistochemistry:
Inhibin strongly positive.

Previous left RCC. Mass right kidney.



Specimen: Partial nephrectomy.

Macro: Partial nephrectomy measuring 23x20x9mm including a 18mm tumour with yellow-orange cut surface, 3mm from renal parenchymal margin.

Immunohistochemistry:
CK7, vimentin, EMA, 34bE12 strongly and diffusely positive. CD10, CD117, RCC and AMACR negative.

Macro: Partial nephrectomy measuring 60x45x30mm and including a well circumscibed tumour with a variegated cut surface, measuring 30mm in maximum dimension and lying 2m from the surgical deep margin.

Immunohistochemistry:
Diffuse positivity for CD117 and e-cadherin. Patchy positivity for CK7 (predominantly at tumour periphery), focal staining for CD10 and weak nuclear staining for PAX-8. Vimentin negative.

Immunohistochemistry:
Areas positive for CD30, AE1/3 and OCT3/4. other areas positive for Glypican3 and AFP. HCG negative.

Macro: Testis 50x35x35mm containing a large multilobulated tumour with a gelatinous cut surface with a cystic area. There is a thin rim of residual normal testicular tissue.

Positive stains: vimentin, CK 7 focally, cyclin D1 (large cells), AMACR focally. Negative stains: TFE3, HMB45, Melan A, p63, p40.

Female 65 years

Caucasian obese (BMI 37) with renal tumour. Tumour was disclosed during examination for back pain and microscopic hematuria. Tumour was located on the pole of the right kidney. CT, USG: 30 mm pT1a cN0 cM0 GII, RENAL score 9ph. Laparoscopic resection was performed, tumour measured 3 x 3.5 x 3 cm.



Specimen: Kidney.

Macro: 3.5cm mass in right kidney.

Immunohistochemistry:
Positive stains: vimentin, CK 7 focally, CANH 9 (non specific). Negative stains: TFE3, CK 20, AMACR. Molecular-genetic findings: no VHL gene mutation, methylation status of VHL normal, LOH3p negative, no TCEB1 gene mutation.

Female 70 years

Tumour of the right kidney 3 cm, mostly whitish, firm. No other tumours (CT, PET CT). The patient is alive and well 3 years after diagnosis.

Immunohistochemistry:
Positive stains: vimentin focally, CK 20. Negative stains: TFE3, CD117, HMB45, AMACR, CK 7.

History of hysterectomy presents with new mural bladder mass.



Specimen: Partial cystectomy.

Macro: Partial cystectomy specimen containing 6.0 cm white-tan circumscribed mass in the wall of the bladder.

Immunohistochemistry:
Positive for smooth muscle actin, patchy desmin, pan-keratin (delicate linear pattern diffusely), negative for ALK, negative for p63, negative for GATA3.

Concurrent resection of renal mass and para-aortic paraganglioma.

Red-brown circumscribed tumour in the kidney.

Minimal staining for EMA, negative vimentin, negative KIT, positive PAX8.

Macro: Yellow-tan to red-brown tumour with extension into perinephric fat.

Immunohistochemistry:
Patchy positivity for melan-A, negative HMB45, focal staining for cathepsin K, negative carbonic anhydrase IX, negative KIT, negative CK7, moderate AMACR, diffuse positive AE1/AE3.
