Specimen: Partial nephrectomy for right upper pole kidney lesion.

Macro: Uniform tan lesion (measuring 47x30x28mm) with central scar Surgical margin(s).

Immunohistochemistry:
Expression of parafibromin and focal CD117. Lack of expression of CK7.

Left renal mass.



Specimen: Kidney.

Macro: Kidney measuring 100x65x55mm with an attached exophytic nodular mass, 95x85x75mm. The mass is present in the hilar region and pushing the renal capsule. On slicing, the mass is a multiloculated cyst with no obvious solid areas. The background kidney appears unremarkable.

Male 40 years

Large left renal cancer invading Gerota's fascia and adhesions.



Specimen: Left kidney.

Macro: Kidney weighs 1480gr, measures 165x110x130mm. The Gerota's fascia appears smooth, without any breach. Slicing shows tumour replacing the kidney, tumour has maximum diameter of 165mm. Tumour cut surface shows variegated yellow and black cut surface. In a few areas whitish firm tumour is also noted. Renal hilum appears obliterated by the tumour. There is tumour deposit in renal vein.
