Macro: TURBT weighing 5 grams.

AK 03

Male 39 years

US reveal mass in left testicle, sinister lesion could not be excluded, tumour markers normal, radical left inguinal orchiectomy.



Specimen: Unilateral left radical orchiectomy (left testicle and cord).

Macro: A testicle with spermatic cord weighing 29g. It is 100mm in length with testis 40x28x23mm. The tunica is intact. On slicing through the testis there is a well-demarcated ovoid mass 12mm, with variable creamy and haemorrhagic cut surface. The tumour abuts the tunica which appears thickened in this area. The rest of the testis is normal.

Immunohistochemistry:
Immunohistochemistry shows the tumour cells are positive for CD30, AE1/AE3 and podoplanin (D2-40). The tumour cells are negative for EMA and CD117.

Specimen: Nephrectomy.

Macro: Nephrectomy specimen showing a well defined tumour which is cystic, multiloculated containing clear serous fluid. The cyst wall are smooth and shiny. Some soft scanty solid areas with no necrosis or haemorrhage.

Immunohistochemistry:
Stromal component positive for SMA, Desmin, ER, PR, CD10. Epithelial component reactive for PAX8.

Previous injection of silicone 10 years ago into penis. Inflammatory reaction. Removal of foreign body and skin.



Specimen: Excision of penile skin.

Macro: An ellipse of penile skin measuring 50x20x10mm. The specimen is not orientated. Sectioning shows the cut surface is pale and firm throughout. No focal lesions are seen.
