Orchidectomy for testicular tumour. AFP 42 HCG 373.



Specimen: Right radical orchidectomy.

Macro: The specimen weight is 34g. The testes measures 50 x 30 x30mm. There is a haemorrhagic tumour measuring 6 x 4 x4 mm in the lower pole.

Male 38 years

Chronic prostatitis with azoospermia. Prostatic utricle cyst resection.



Specimen: Prostatic fragments.

Macro: Multiple irregular fragmented pieces of tissue altogether measuring 22 x 13mm.

Immunohistochemistry:
The tumour cells mark with PLAP, CD117 and Oct3/4. PSA, PSAP, CD45, | CD30 and MNF116 are negative.

Female 57 years

Pelvic pain, dysuria with voiding difficulty, increased frequency and visible emathuria.



Specimen: Cystourethrectomy.

Macro: The proximal urethra shows a diverticulum containing white tumour filling its lumen, approximately 20mm in maximum dimension. Cystoscopy: large solid tumour involving the bladder neck and the proximal ureter on the right side plus proximal urethral diverticulum full of papillary tumour.

Immunohistochemistry:
Positive: PAX8, EMA, CAM 5.2, CK7, AMACR, CA125 Negative: p63, p16, 34BE12, CK20, WT1, CD10 Ki67 >80% p53 wild type.

Male 69 years

Left 8.6cm upper pole renal mass and multiple retroperitoneal lymph nodes.



Specimen: Radical nephrectomy.

Macro: Radical nephrectomy weighing 1086gr and measuring 222x115x98mm. The kidney measures 160x70x55mm. A 79mm across, mostly grey and in places orange/brown tumour replaces the upper pole of the kidney.

Immunohistochemistry:
CAIX, CD10, EMA, VIMENTIN +VE; P63, CK7, GATA3, HMB45, CD117 -VE.

Hematuria, had radiotherapy for prostate cancer Cystoscopy- small red papillary growth at the left wall.



Specimen: TURBT.

Macro: Bladder tumour, two pieces of tissue, larger 5mm.

Immunohistochemistry:
CD34- positive.

2cm lesion tail of epididymis.



Specimen: Right epididymal lesion.

Macro: A well circumscribed cystic structure measuring 35 x 22 x 19mm. The surface is smooth. On slicing, there is a pale, soft nodule.

Immunohistochemistry:
Lesional cells are positive for HBME-1. calretinin and CK5/6.

Left renal mass presented with haematuris, biopsies were inconclusive. The patient first presented when pregnant.



Specimen: Left kidney.

Macro: Left kidney with a tumour in the renal pelvis, 55x40x35, with a fleshy polypoid appearance.

Immunohistochemistry:
ER and Smooth muscle actin - slides sent for scanning.

Specimen: Right nephrectomy.

Macro: Right nephrectomy 120x60x60mm with ureter 95mm. On slicing there is a 65mm brown tumour in the lower pole.

Immunohistochemistry:
CK7 provided. CD117 positive. Negative staining with CD10 and vimentin.

History of bladder cancer.



Specimen: Bladder.

Macro: Cystoprostatectomy specimen. 60 mm friable necrotic tumour at bladder dome with associated 35 mm diameter plaque like area at serosal surface this area has been sampled in the section given.

Immunohistochemistry:
CK5 positive, p63 positive. CK20 negative. GATA3 very focal and weak nuclear staining, considered mostly negative.
