Male 43 years

Skin excision biopsy right thigh. Haemangioma.

Macroscopic description:
Skin ellipse 27x18x13mm with a grey/brown nodule 10x9x6mm. On cutting the nodule is pale brown.

Female 90 years

Skin incisional biopsy back. Erosions initially in vulva and mouth; now superficial crusted annular well-defined patches with superficial erosions and small flaccid blisters to trunk. Previous biopsy suggested SPD/AGEP not clinically in keeping. ?immunobullous.

Macroscopic description:
Skin ellipse 15x10x6mm with a crusted macule 7mm in maximum dimension. Bisected longitudinally and all submitted in 1 cassette.

Immunohistochemistry:
Intercellular IgA on DIF.

Male 31 years

Foreskin/circumcision. HIV+, chronic swelling after previous silicone injection.

Macroscopic description:
Circumcision specimen with grossly thickened subcutaneous tissue, yellowish colour with cystic areas up to 3mm in diameter.

Female 42 years

Skin incisional biospy and biopsy for immunoflourescence. Incisonal biopsy left forearm. Known coeliac disease - 2012. Itchy papules - 4 episodes so far on elbows, legs, buttocks and back. ?Dermatitis herpetiformis ? Papula urticaria/eczema.

Macroscopic description:
The specimen measures 7x3mm with tissue to a depth of 2mm.

Immunohistochemistry:
granular deposition with IgA, IgM and C3 at the dermo-epidermal junction. IgG -negative.

Male 85 years

Skin lesion - ankle. Lesion left ankle ?BCC.

Macroscopic description:
7mm nodular raised lesion.

Female 45 years

Vulva, superficial biopsies. ?Condyloma accumination.

Macroscopic description:
10mm warty piece of pale brown skin.

Female 40 years

Skin incisional biopsy. Diff diag follicular eczema. Cutaneous amyloidosis.

Macroscopic description:
Ellipse of skin measuring 12x5x4mm bisected longitudinally.

Immunohistochemistry:
Congo red positive and Amyloid A negative.

Female 52 years

Excision of a lesion left side of the chest. Previous left mastectomy and radiotherapy for breast cancer. Sucutaneous lump above left mastectomy scar. Excised under LA.

Macroscopic description:
An ellipse of skin measuring 22x6mm across excised with subcutaneous adipose tissue to a depth of 7mm. The skin surface was unremarkable. Cut surface shows no definite lesion.

Male 74 years

Skin left elbow. Excision Olecranon Bursa left elbow.

Macroscopic description:
Ellipse of skin measuring 45x30x15mm. The surface of the skin is unremarkable. On slicing, there is a white lesion with areas of haemorrhage and necrosis. It measures 30mm and is close to the margins.

Immunohistochemistry:
Synaptophysin and Chromogranin - positive. CD56 - patchy positivity. CK20 - perinuclear dot like positivity. Melan A and TTF-1 - negative.

Male 24 years

Punch biopsy leg. 18 month history of itchy violaceous rash in plaques and papules on the lower leg.
