Skin lesion right foot. Lesion right foot ?xanthogranuloma ?mastocytoma.

Immunohistochemistry:
CD117 and CD68 : positive. CD3, CD20, AE1/3 and melan A : negative.

Male 65 years

Skin biopsy - lesion right index finger. Swelling soft tissue to both hands ?cause - painful. Bleed. ??reticulohystiocytosis.

Macroscopic description:
The specimen consists of an ellipse of skin 30x15x5mm, bearing on its surface a 10mm nodule.

Male 49 years

4mm punch biopsy L cheek. Scaly hypopigmented poikilodermatous plaques with areas of hair loss. ?Mycosis fungoides.

Macroscopic description:
4mm punch of skin to a depth of 4mm.

Immunohistochemistry:
Lymphocytes express CD3, more CD4 than CD8, CD2, CD5 but there is a loss of CD7.

Female 85 years

Excision - Ear. ?BCC on ear, excised.

Macroscopic description:
Wedge of ear measuring 50x12x8mm with central nodule 10x10mm.

Female 11 years

Excision of skin left foot. Atypical mole.

Macroscopic description:
An ellipse of skin 20x9x3mm deep with an off-centre grey/brown macule, <1mm from the nearest margin.

Female 60 years

Skin excision right thigh. 15x15mm erythematous nodule for 3 months. ?SCC ?Melanoma.

Macroscopic description:
Ellipse of skin 43x22x10mm with nodule 10x12x6mm.

Immunohistochemistry:
AE1/3, CAM5.2, HMB45, CD45, CK5/6, S100, CK20, melan-A, CD20 are negative. CD138 strongly and diffusely positive.

Female 28 years

6mm punch biopsy. Itchy, blistery eruption for the last 3 months, back, scalp, limbs and genital area. Mouth and eyes not affected. Fragile blisters the tops of which are easily removed leaving a persistent raw patch.

Macroscopic description:
half a 6mm skin punch. Direct IMF : Strong intercellular positivity in the epidermis with both IgG and C3. IgA and IgM negative.

Female 83 years

Excision - right knee. ?nodular Melanoma below right knee.

Macroscopic description:
dark brown nodule 13mm diameter.

Immunohistochemistry:
CD34, HHV8 positive. S100, melanA, cytokeratins, SMA, desmin are negative.

Female 27 years

Incisional biopsy left shin. Tender swellings on shins.

Macroscopic description:
Incisional biopsy 15x16x10mm, bisected in long axis.

Male 40 years

Nodule on the left thumb. 20 year history ?ganglion ?sweat gland tumour.

Macroscopic description:
Firm nodule measuring 14x10x9mm, partly cystic on cut section.
