Female 94 years

Excision of skin. Lesion on the neck. ?SCC. Ellipse 15x14x4mm. Central 9mm lesion.

Sex unknown age unknown

Young infant with persistant papular rash on back, scalp and flexures. Thought by GP to be molluscum. Admitted with rotavirus diarrhoea and haemoglobin of 8.0. ?histocytosis.

Specimen: Punch biopsy of back.

Macroscopic description:
4mm punch, 7mm deep.

Immunohistochemistry:
Cells positive for S100, CD68, vimentin and CD1a. Negative for CD3, CD20. Equivocal CD30.

Male 73 years

Diabetes and chronic renal failure. Generalised pruritus. Papular lesions on limbs, many crusted with central keratin plugs.

Specimen: Skin punch biopsy, left upper arm.

Macroscopic description:
4mm skin punch biopsy, 7mm deep with dark crust on surface.

Male 47 years

Skin excision. Lesion forearm for 1 year. History of seminoma some years ago. ?secondary.

Macroscopic description:
Subcutaneous nodule 6mm.

Female 69 years

Skin curettings. Right buttock lesion. Multiple white fibrous / keratotic fragments.

Male 55 years

4/7 hx oral mucosa pain affecting swallow and conjunctivitis. 2/7 hx descending maculopapular blistering rash ?SJS/TEN.

Specimen: Punch biopsy - Umbilicus.

Immunohistochemistry:
Direct immunofluorescence shows numerous colloid bodies staining with C3 at the basement membrane zone. It is otherwise negative.

Female 72 years

8mm erythematous papule on scalp.

Male 12 months

Excision of lesion right supraclavicular fossa. Single brown papule. ?Duration.

Specimen: Skin excision.

Macroscopic description:
Ellipse of skin 5x5x4mm. The surface has a pale brown colour.

Male 65 years

Skin. Fast growing (L) arm dermal tumour, no other lymphadenopathy.

Macroscopic description:
Skin ellipse 40x25x15mm with a dermal 20mm in diameter.

Immunohistochemistry:
CD45+ve, CD20+ve, BCL6+ve, MUM1+ve, BCL2+ve Mib-1-80% (negatives - AE1/AE3, S100, Cam5.2, CD10).

Female 56 years

Excised sebaceous cyst, left temple.

Specimen: Skin excision (cyst).

Macroscopic description:
Circumscribed intact cyst, yellow, bisected.
