?metastatic squamous carcinoma left elbow. Patient had a right BKA for squamous carcinoma followed by stump metastasis, hind quarter amputation and radiotherapy. An area of ulceration within the amputation stump biopsied five months ago when no tumour was found, although subsequent bone biopsy did show infiltration by moderately differentiated squamous carcinoma.

Firm erythematous subcutaneous lesion on lower back. Previous DLE, limited cutaneous systematic sclerosis, HTLV 1 + 2.

Specimen: Incision ellipse edge of lesion.

Macroscopic description:
Skin ellipse with underlying subcutaneous tissue measuring14x8x6mm the surface is unremarkable. Specimen is longitudinally bisected.

Immunohistochemistry:
Cells are positive for CD3, CD5 and CD25, a large proportion show CD4 positivity. They are negative for CD7, CD20, CD79a, ALK-1 and CD30. The MIB-1 index is high.
