Birth mark - previously had laser therapy but lesion recurred very quickly.

Specimen: Right lower leg excision of large keratotic angiokeratoma.

Macroscopic description:
skin ellipse with a large 52mm warty nodule.

Male 46 years

Deep nodules. Erythema nodosum like lesions on shins ?panniculitis.

Specimen: Incisional biopsy right thigh.

Macroscopic description:
skin ellipse 16x6x8mm with an unremarkable surface.

Male 75 years

Lesion left forehead, unknown duration ?Haemangioma exclude merkel cell carcinoma.

Specimen: skin excision forehead.

Macroscopic description:
Ellipse of skin 30x18mm depth 4mm well defined raised grey nodule 17x5mm.

Female 85 years

Punch biopsy nodule within area of varicose changes lower leg - calcified - ?all due to varicose change, to exclude neoplasia.

Specimen: skin punch biopsy right lower leg.

Special stains:
Congo red positive with apple green birefringence on polarised microscopy.

Female 29 years

Unchanging brown well demarcated scaral papule ?naevus.

Specimen: skin papule from back.

Macroscopic description:
A shave of skin 8x4x1mm.

Other investigation results - PAS negative for fungi.

Female 74 years

Multiple skin coloured papules face, abdo, lower back, 2-5mm ?syringoma.

Specimen: Left upper forehead, punch biopsy.

Male 72 years

Several months history of a lesion which has changed in size over last 3 months.

Specimen: Excision right shin.

Macroscopic description:
skin ellipse 35x20mm and 5mm deep. 15x12mm surface nodule.

Male 55 years

Skin type 1-2 sunburns and sunbeds, 5mm lesion, pigmented and feels firm, ?Dysplastic naevus.

Specimen: skin excision left upper shoulder.

Macroscopic description:
Ellipse of skin measuring 15x10x5mm. Central depressed lesion measuring 4x2mm. The lesion is approximately 3mm from the closest radial margin.

Specimen: excision biopsy left leg.

Macroscopic description:
EOS 8x7mm bearing a light brown pigmented lesion with slightly irregular borders.

Female 50 years

18/12 history of progressing discoloured patches. O/E - pink annular smooth patches with raised red border.

Specimen: Incisional biopsy thigh.

Macroscopic description:
Incisional biopsy measuring 21x7mm with underlying subcutaneous tissue measuring 10mm in depth. The skin appears roughened but otherwise unremarkable.
