Progressive LL sensory disturbance, nearly intact motor power. T12 - L1 intramedullary SOL. Mulitple pieces of tissue measuring up to 10mm.
Circulation 58 - Case 2
Female 49 years
Left sided weakness for 6 months. Enhancing dural based lesion. Ragged mass of cream tissue 75 x 62mm.
Circulation 58 - Case 3
Female 50 years
Treated for spinal plasmacytoma and died in ITU following acute, progressive deterioration in neurological state. The CT head scan near end of life demonstrated catastrophic haemorrhage and oedema. PM Brain with generalised brain swelling. Multiple, bilateral and well demarcated haemorrhagic lesions involving all lobes.
Circulation 58 - Case 4
Male 23 years
T12-L2 intradural lesion compressing the conus. Three pieces of haemorrhagic tissue, measuring 30 x 20 x 12mm.
Circulation 58 - Case 5
Male 19 years
Progressive cognitive decline and ataxia. Initially in for leukodystrohy but MRI showed pineal lesion with CSF dissemination. Multiple pieces of tissue, in aggregate 6mm in maximum diameter.
Circulation 58 - Case 6
Male 63 years
Acute presentation of visual field deficit, headaches and a collapse. Large right intrinsic temporal SOL. Multiple pieces of tan and cream fragments measuring 50 x 40 x 10mm.
Circulation 58 - Case 7
Female 39 years
Left frontal brain diffuse abnormalities. No significant PMH. Several pieces of tissue altogether measuring 18 x 16 x 4mm.
Circulation 58 - Case 8
Female 45 years
Left CPA lesion. Minimal hearing in left ear and left facial numbness. Several pieces of cream and yellow tissue, 12 x 12 x 4mm.
Circulation 58 - Case 9
Female 42 years
Cerebellar SOL and right frontal SOL (current specimen). Previous history of adenocarcinoma colon. Multiple fragments of tissue measuring 80 x 80 x 10mm on aggregate.
Circulation 58 - Case 10
Female 11 years
Transphenoidal resection of sellar lesion. Cream and brown tissue, 25 x 25 x 8mm.
Circulation 58 - Case 11
Male 38 years
HIV positive and neurological decline since starting HAAR 7. Low CD4 count. Abnormal area on brain with speckled appearance (site not specified). Four cores of tissue, ranging in diameter from 3-5mm.
Circulation 58 - Case 12
Female 15 years
Long history of intermittent neurological signs and symptoms. Hydrocephalus. CNS imaging shows a diffuse process and new lesions in pineal and cervical rootlets. Previous cortical dural biopsy negative. Biopsy of new right frontal area. Several pieces of tissue, 20 x 10 x 5mm.
