Male 63 years

Visual deterioration and headaches. Suprasellar lesion consisting of fragments of pale brown tissue, on aggregate measuring 35x25x10mm.

Female 52 years

Right temporal intrinsic abnormality. No significant past medical history. Multiple pieces of soft, haemorrhagic cream coloured tissue, all together measuring 50x40 x10mm.

Female 70 years

Two week history of left sided weakness. Right frontal enhancing tumour based on sphenoid wing, attached to dura. No macroscopic description given.

Circulation 55 - Case 5

Female 54 years

Known breast cancer, presented with back pain and evidence of a T4/5 lesion. Multiple fragments of pale and haemorrhagic firm and bony tissue, largest measuring 10mm amd the smallest 2mm.

Female 12 years

Visual loss. Pituitary function intact. MRI shows suprasellar mass. Several pieces of white/cream tissue altogether measuring 6x5x2mm.

Male 52 years

Presented with seizure and found to have a large, right, frontal temporal parietal tumour with patchy enhancement. Gelatinous, tan pieces of tissue measuring 30x15x10mm together with a partial lobectomy measuring 45x20x15mm.

Known VHL. L4/5 intradural tumour, increasing in size. Dark brown/blue coloured nodule measuring 12x10x5mm.

Three months history of back pain. Three day history of progressive lower limb weakness. T7-9 extradural lesion seen on imaging. Multiple ragged fragments of pale, tan and haemorrhagic tissue measuring 31x3x15mm in aggregate.

Female 72 years

Right occipital haedache, severe. Calcified foramen magnum mass adjacent to right cerebellar tonsil and posterior inferior cerebellar artery. Fragments of brown and cream bony tissue with an aggregate measurement of 28x20x6mm.

Circulation 55 - Case 12

Male 53 years

Known cutaneous and pulmonary sarcoidosis. Two month history of worsening speech, swallow and balance. Not responing to steroids. MRI brain showed left cerebellar hyperintensity in T2. No enhancement. Seven cores of haemorrhagic tissue, each measuring approximately 5mm in length.
