Menorrhagia. Right ovarian cyst removed at hysterectomy.

Macroscopic description:
The right ovary appears cystic, with smooth surface and measures 90 x 85 x 65mm, contains clear/ straw coloured fluid and shows a multilocated cyst, containing mucinous material with some apparent solid areas.

Female 51 years

Previous breast surgery, now lumps in axilla.

Specimen: Right Axillary Lymph Nodes.

Macroscopic description:
Five lymph nodes, the largest 3.5 x 2.5 x 1.3cm, the others between 2.2 and 1.6cm diameter, which have pale spongy cut surfaces.

CD117, S100, melan-A = positive CD34, EMA, HMB45, desmin = negative

Specimen: Skin Tumour.

Macroscopic description:
Skin ellipse 4.5 x 3.2cm with surface ulceration and nodule in dermis.

Male 77 years

Right testicular tumour. Operation - right inguinal orchidectomy. Right testis and right spermatic cord.

Specimen: Testis

Macroscopic description:
Orchidectomy specimen comprising the testis with adherent epididymis and tunica vaginalis, overall 5.7 x 4.5 x 3.0cm with attached spermatic cord 6.5cm. On section, the testis shows two firm beige tumours at inferior and superior poles of the testis measuring 2.3cm and 1.5cm. The tumours have discrete margins.

Male 84 years

Tumour positive with AE1AE2, CAM5.2, CK20, CD56 and chromogranin, CK7, LCA and TTF1 negative.

Specimen: Skin.

Macroscopic description:
Skin ellipse measuring 17mm.

Female 69 years

CT diagnosed tumour in body of pancreas.

Specimen: Distal pancreatectomy and splenectomy.

Macroscopic description:
Body and tail of pancreas containing a multilocated cystic lesion 5.5 x 4.5 x 3.5cm

Macroscopic description:
Ellipse of tissue measuring 12mm.

6cm lower pole renal tumour. Looks like RCC on CT scan.

Specimen: Right kidney.

Macroscopic description:
Kidney with cystic mass in lower pole 5.5cm maximum. No obvious invasion of renal capsule, pelvis or renal vein.

Moderate dyskaryosis.

Specimen: LLETZ.

Macroscopic description:
An assymetrical loop of cervix 1.4 x 0.8 x 0.8cm.

Proximal femoral cyst at total hip replacement.

Specimen: Fragments of bony tissue.

Macroscopic description:
Bony tissue 3.5 x 2 x 1cm

Female 80 years

Unusual plaque lesion left forearm overlying a soft tissue mass. The mass is probably a lipoma.

Specimen: Skin Biopsy.

Macroscopic description:
Punch biopsy of skin 6mm in diameter with subcutaneous tissue to a depth of 8mm.
