Female 42 years

Menorrhagia. Right ovarian cyst removed at hysterectomy.

Specimen: Ovary

Macroscopic description:
The right ovary appears cystic, with smooth surface and measures 90 x 85 x 65mm, contains clear/ straw coloured fluid and shows a multilocated cyst, containing mucinous material with some apparent solid areas.

Previous breast surgery, now lumps in axilla.

Specimen: Right Axillary Lymph Nodes.

Macroscopic description:
Five lymph nodes, the largest 3.5 x 2.5 x 1.3cm, the others between 2.2 and 1.6cm diameter, which have pale spongy cut surfaces.

Skin ellipse 4.5 x 3.2cm with surface ulceration and nodule in dermis.

Male 77 years

Right testicular tumour. Operation - right inguinal orchidectomy. Right testis and right spermatic cord.

Specimen: Testis

Macroscopic description:
Orchidectomy specimen comprising the testis with adherent epididymis and tunica vaginalis, overall 5.7 x 4.5 x 3.0cm with attached spermatic cord 6.5cm. On section, the testis shows two firm beige tumours at inferior and superior poles of the testis measuring 2.3cm and 1.5cm. The tumours have discrete margins.
