Macroscopic description:
8 pieces of friable pale tissue. Total weigh 157g and from 2.0 to 14 x 6 x 2cm. Largest piece is partly covered by grey membranous tissue. Cut surface is nodular and pale with areas of haemorrhage and cystic change.

Specimen: Tumour R Chest ?Lung ?Chest Wall.

Special stains: vimentin, CD34 and BCL2 positive. EMA, panCK, CD31, CD99 and S100 and SM actin negative.

Anterior resection for carcinoma of distal rectum.

Macroscopic description:
Donut of Bowel.

Specimen: Anterior resection, distal donut.

Macroscopic description:
Nephrectomy specimen with a large uniform tan-coloured mass 10 x 9 x 6 cm.

Macroscopic description:
Ellipse of skin 4 x 1.7cm excised to a depth of 0.7cm. The skin bears a nodule measuring 2.2cm.

Clinical PMB, smear showing ?glandular neoplasia. Staging laparotomy following endometrial biopsy.

Macroscopic description:
Uterus measuring 9.5 x 8.0 x 5.8 cm. The endometrium is 0.2cm thick.

Specimen: Uterus.

Left atrial mass found during aortic valve replacement surgery. Exclude myxoma.

Macroscopic description:
5 fragments of dark tan tissue, aggregate size 4 x 3 x 1.5cm.

Specimen: Left atrial tumour.

Macroscopic description:
6mm punch biopsy.

Neck lump for 7-8 months. Palpable nodule on right lobe of thyroid.

Macroscopic description:
Right lobe of thyroid 4 x 3 x2, 12.9g. On sectioning almost the whole lobe is seen to be replaced by brown-yellow tumour.

Specimen: Right lobe of thyroid.

Male 28 years

Bilateral atrophic testes. USS microlithiasis and multi-focal lesions bilaterally.

Macroscopic description:
Wedge of testicular tissue with tunica, 6 x 4 x 9 mm.

Specimen: Left testicular biopsy.

Male 55 years

Clinical Long-standing lesion back of hand. Rheumatoid arthritis. ?rheumatoid nodule.

Macroscopic description:
Fibrous tissue 18 x 15 x 7mm.

Specimen: Lesion from back of hand.
