Specimen: Skin from right leg.

Macroscopic description:
Ellipse of skin 9 x 3 x 3 mm with a granular area measuring 2 x 2 mm.

Case AG2

Female 21 years

Meckel's diverticulum. Resection and anastomosis.

Specimen: Small Bowel.

Macroscopic description:
This is a segment of bowel 130mm in length and up to 55mm in opened-out circumference. The serosal surface appears slightly congested and bears exudate in some areas. 5mm from one end of the specimen there is a 25 x 10mm diverticulum protruding from the bowel wall. 30mm from the other end there is a depressed area of mucosa where bowel wall appears thinned. The mucosal surface of the bowel appears oedematous and pale at one end and granular at the other.

Male 49 years

Firm mobile non tender nodule on anterio third of tongue 1.5 x 3cm present for more than 12 months, size increasing.

Specimen: Biopsy of tongue.

Macroscopic description:
Tongue biopsy 12 x 2 x 8 mm.

Immunohistochemistry:
CD34, bcl2 positive. SMA, CD68 and S100 negative.
