Left adnexal mass on MRI. Laparoscopic assisted vaginal hysterectomy and bilateral salpingo-oopherectomy. Pedunculated fibroids on left uterus wall. Section from mass in broad ligament.

Specimen: Left adnexal mass (Gynae).

Macroscopic description:
Left fallopian tube 10cm long. Close to the isthmus the broad ligament is expanded by a soft, well circumscribed mass 5.5cm in diameter. On slicing this has a yellow/tan interior. The fallopian tube is stretched over the mass and appears separate to it. The left ovary is 2cm across and appears normal.

CD56, chromogranin, CK20, CEA, CD117 +ve. CDX2, AE1/3, BerEP4, CK7, DOG1, TTF1 -ve.
