Rising HCG ? ectopic left side. A fallopian tube 60mm long with a swollen and focally haemorrhagic appearance. Special stains: None.

Female 79 years

Fibroid uterus, right ovarian cyst. Disseminated peritoneal disease ? primary peritoneal cancer. Ut/Cx/BSO with right ovarian cyst, along with small bowel segment, omentum and appendix. All specimens showed extensive serosal "tumour" deposits. Section of small bowel and "tumour". Special stains for microorganisms negative.

Female 62 years

Terminal ileal tumour. Pelvic adhesions. Right hemicolectomy showing a stricture in the terminal ileum. On slicing a soft yellow area was present 25x20x20mm. Section from this area. Special stains: Lesional cells are positive for CD56, Chromogranin and Synaptophysin. CDX-2 weak. TTF-1 negatve. Ki 67 <2%.

Rectal polyp. A polyp measuring 10mm in maximum dimension.

Polyp left nasal cavity. Exclude SCC. Two pieces of tissue the larger measuring 21x15x9mm. Special stains: S100, HMB45, Melan A, CD56 positive. AE1/3, CAM 5.2, p40, CK5/6, LCA, Synaptophysin, Chromogranin negative.

Soft nodule left vulva ? lipoma ? sebaceous cyst. Two fragments of tissue the larger measuring 9mm. Special stains: S100, CD68, Calretinin positive. AE1/3 negative.

Bladder tumour. No previous history. TURBT four pieces of tissue measuring between 5mm and 10mm. Special stains: Tumour cells are positive for Synaptophysin, chromogranin, CD56 and S100 and negative for CK7, CK20 and Ki67.

Large inflamed nodular area on pubic and scrotal area. Incisional biopsy. A triangular piece of skin measuring 7x6x5mm. Special stains: Large cells are negative for S100 and positive for CK7 and CEA.

Female 42 years

Fungating, ulcerative perianal area ? squamous carcinoma anus ? Crohn's perineum? hydradenitis. Biopsy left buttock. An irregular piece of skin measuring 22x15x7mm.

Female 29 years

Pelvic mass with peritoneal and omental disease, elevated AFP, Ca 125 and LDH. Peritoneal and omental biopsies. Special stains: Lesional cells express AFP, CDX-2 and AE1/3. Negative for CK7, CK20, CEA, Ca125, p16, HCG, OCT3/4, CD30 and D2-40.

Female 62 years

Mastectomy for two adjacent lesions - both B5b on core biopsy. Mastectomy containing an ill-defined tumour 80mm in maximum dimension with an adjacent well-circumscribed nodule 30mm in maximum dimension. Special stains: AE1/3, CD34 and E-Cadherin.

Thyroid goitre compressive symptoms. Right thyroid.

Female 58 years

Right nephrectomy for RCC 2007. Now clinically TCC from right ureter into bladder. Ureteric tumour chippings. Pale tan-coloured tissue chippings measuring 27x25x4mm in aggregate Special stains: Tumour cells are diffusely positive for CK7 and negative for CK20, CD10, Vimentin, Synaptophysin, CD56 and S100.
