Rising HCG ? ectopic left side. A fallopian tube 60mm long with a swollen and focally haemorrhagic appearance. Special stains: None.

Female 79 years

Fibroid uterus, right ovarian cyst. Disseminated peritoneal disease ? primary peritoneal cancer. Ut/Cx/BSO with right ovarian cyst, along with small bowel segment, omentum and appendix. All specimens showed extensive serosal "tumour" deposits. Section of small bowel and "tumour". Special stains for microorganisms negative.

Female 62 years

Terminal ileal tumour. Pelvic adhesions. Right hemicolectomy showing a stricture in the terminal ileum. On slicing a soft yellow area was present 25x20x20mm. Section from this area. Special stains: Lesional cells are positive for CD56, Chromogranin and Synaptophysin. CDX-2 weak. TTF-1 negatve. Ki 67 <2%.

Pale tan-coloured tissue chippings measuring 27x25x4mm in aggregate Special stains: Tumour cells are diffusely positive for CK7 and negative for CK20, CD10, Vimentin, Synaptophysin, CD56 and S100.
