Solid lesion middle of right kidney, radiologically renal cancer.

Specimen: Right kidney.

Macroscopic description:
Right kidney - nephrectomy specimen. Kidney itself measures 95 x 50 x 34 mm. Shows a yellow-grey rounded tumour 32 mm diameter centrally.

Female 83 years

Complex ovarian mass, adherent to peritoneum.

Specimen: Total hysterectomy.

Macroscopic description:
Collapsed cyst 400 mm across with solid area 100 x 70 x 40 mm. Part of solid lesion shows haemorrhagic infarction. Cyst contains blood clots.

Immunohistochemistry:
Inhibin, calretinin, WT1, Vimentin, SMA, AE1/3, CD56 all positive. EMA and CD10 negative.

Left laparoscopic adrenalectomy.

Specimen: Left adrenalectomy.

Macroscopic description:
Adrenal gland with attached tumour. Adrenal gland is separate from tumour. Tumour measures 100 x 60 x 50 mm. On slicing shows greyish white, whorled and myxoid areas.

Right hemicolectomy - apart from ileal ulcers, the large bowel shows an ill defined slightly haemorrhagic nodule 1.5 cm x 3 cm.

Immunohistochemistry:
SMA, Vimentin, CD34, CD117, DOG1: Positive S100, NSE, Desmin: negative.

Smooth pale firm nodule measuring 12 x 8 x 5 mm. Specimen is bisected.

Immunohistochemistry:
Negative - CD34, factor 13A, S100, CK, AE1/AE3, positive - SMA, desmin.

Specimen: Olecranon bursa.

Macroscopic description:
Yellow/white cystic nodule measuring 60 x 42 x 30 mm. Cut surface is chalky white in appearance.
